SRL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ6hLZXOa-c The SRL test moves the motor out a given percentage of a sample's thickness then measures the decrease over time in the load.

Parameters

Sample Thickness: in mm

Diameter: Only used in combined test for Ey and G* calculations

Strain Increments: What percentage of the sample thickness to extend the motor shaft by on each step. The starting point is the position of the motor when the run test button is pressed.

Peak Time: How long a given step position is held once it is achieved.

Number of Steps: How many strain increment steps are performed.

Known Issues

The motor may overshoot a small SRL step or take excessively long to reach a large one. The motor does not retract in the case of overshoot, rather it will sit waiting for the next step to trigger. Leaving the range of the LVDT is possible.
