Formula SAE Impact Attenuator

During my freshman year I worked with Arven Rulona, Chae Jeong, and Catherine Go on developing a polyurethane foam impact attenuator for Cooper Union's Formula SAE vehicle, which races in competition. The impact attenuator is a safety device, located at the front of the vehicle, that decreases the force experienced by the driver and absorbs energy in the event of a collision.
