HitNFit

Fall 2012

The HitNFit is a novel exercising device which combines a treadmill and a punch pad system. I worked on this system for my Engineering Design and Problem Solving class.

While the user is running, he or she is supposed to hit the punch pads. There are LED lights above the punch pads which light up and notify the user which pad to hit. The user must hit the pad before the LED light turns off. All of the LED lights and the pads are connected and controlled by an Arduino.

I worked with Jonathan Au, Matthew Fu, Jenny Jung, Matthew Palmer, Shoshana Sigal, and Jeff Tam to modify the original design for the HitNFit and to build a working prototype. I worked mainly on the construction of the pads and the connection of the pads to the treadmill.
