On Friday 13th April, the mold of the modified caps was ready. We brought the mold to the lab in order to create our new caps. After a few unsuccessful attempts, we were finally able to get some good caps. After testing these new caps on the eppendorf tubes, we have realised that they don't fit perfectly, and will probably need some slight modifications in the future. We have based the design of our capping system on the shape of these new caps. Here are some pictures of the process:
