        <description>After researching different types of trebuchets, two types stood out to us: The Floating Arm, and the Floating Axle King Arthur trebuchets. To figure out which trebuchet we would develop as a team, we broke up into two groups. Each group researched, designed, and built a scale model by laser cutting acrylic. Whichever trebuchet was able to shoot farther using similar material constraints would be deemed the winner and would be developed further.</description>

Using the Algodoo software demo, I roughly modeled our trebuchet design to see how the trebuchet could be optimized to maximize range. 




The red bar is the 45 degree mark, indicating the angle the sling should be released at for maximum range. The release of the projectile was controlled by a keystroke.</description>
