We used 24V DC output from the arduino control system for relay switch.

The relay switch completes the connection between external stop/start pins (8 and 14 in the peristaltic pump)when 24V is given.

	*  Met with Prof. Lima to discuss about current objectives.
	*  With the help of Prof. Lima and machine shop technician, we built five cylindrical chambers with input filter holder and output quick-release insert valve.

We were able to re-build and successfully operate the pump system.


We calibrated pump rates manually due to problems with arduino chip. Therefore solenoid valves that control liquid flow into each chambers were not functional at this time


However, we fixed the problem and decided to improve arduino control system


Next run of the pump system will be fully functional.</description>

These ideas are related to how the fluid flow system might work and stay air tight.

The two left diagrams show how sterile air originally in the chamber could be compressed into a side chamber as the system was filled with fluid. This could then be used again when the fluid was evacuated keeping pressure constant.</description>

During the design process I was thinking about how the box might be open in different ways. This led me to adding a kinetic element to the inner chamber of the box that might hold the tissue.

In  these sketches I meddled with the idea of mass storage of preservation units. Waste disposal and Fluid storage for use as input could all be communal. 

Gravity could do all the work of pumps with fluid coming from above the systems and draining out the  back into the plumbing or some sort of wast disposal system. This would allow for nice presentation of shelves in a storage room.</description>

This is a more finalized design for a removable presentation tray to hold the tissue. The tray would be clear plastic and also serve as the handles for the actual box when it was closed. The top half of the inner chamber to hold the tissue would be attached to the lid of the box an dso when the tray was in the box the tissue would be completely secured and when it was removed it would be free to be taken by the doctor.</description>

We figured out a method using the impulse sealer to properly seal the IV bag.

In order to completely seal an IV bag, we must set the impulse sealer to 8 and firmly press the IV bag three consecutive times.</description>
