03/08/2012 Meeting Minutes

Today we met with Tiger Party to discuss the changes in our project and the new focus on the prototype. The meeting won't be discussed in the usual detail since our project changed slightly again that night. We broke prototyping down into three parts. Peter would be in charge of the link between the Arduino Distance Sensors and the Arduino. Wojciech will work on the connections between the Arduino and attachement mold with the LEDs. Lastly Jenna will be responsible for determining the resolution needed for the light intensity of our design to be sufficient.

However, after leaving the meeting still confused, Peter and Jenna spoke to Professor Lima about the goal of their project. Finally, the problem was completely defined and the group fully understood the direction of their project.

Project Goals:

  • Project Proposal completed for the final
  • Working Kinect prototype with IR LEDs as outputs
  • Tested attachment system

Professor Lima suggested that the group begins typing the proposal immediately. First, because it will be less work at the very end and second, it will help the group differentiate between completed aspects of the project and parts that still need to be worked on.

With respect to the roles that Tiger Party had established, they don't change, just the interface changes.

A new timeline will appear on the Wiki shortly along with a proposal page so that we may begin work on that as a group.
