Due date: Friday, January 31 in class

Design and build a gear train with a ratio between 5:1 and 30:1. For example, in a gear train with a ratio of 20:1, 20 turns of the input gear results in 1 turn of the output gear. Use 3 gears; the second gear in the train should be a compound gear. Pitch diameters should be no larger than 3 in.

Decide yourself how to mount the gear train. Each gear's tooth count should be clearly labeled on the face of the gear. Indicate somewhere on your project the diametral pitch and pressure angle of your gears.

You will demonstrate your gear train manually (don't hook it up to a motor).
