===4/4/12=== Got the Color Sensor (ADJD-S311) with in-built evaluation board. Tested with green colors. Result: A little unstable. May need to slightly modify the color definitions in the .h file, but also need to test with gumballs and in different lightings. ===3/27/12=== Began construction of gumball machine casing. Completed frame skeleton in 1x2s. ===3/24/12=== Acquired lumber. ===3/23/12=== Finalized machine layout. ===3/21/12=== Met with Mike to discuss progress. Next steps are continuing to build mechanical components and test coding. ===Spring Break=== Jackie worked on the mechanical prototypes and Gary worked on the Arduino coding for various devices. Color sensor was very unstable and accidentally fried it, so need to purchase a new, better one. ===3/6/12=== Met and discussed ways to increase interactivity. Settled on a "choose you own adventure" path game where the user determines the fun-ness of the gumball's path. Skill, luck, and timing are involved. ===3/1/12=== Gumballs arrived! Talked to Professor Lima about the direction the gumball machine should take: more interactive or more independent of player.
