====Original Design====

The original design did not allow for the cap to bend easily because it was too thick. This would make creating a mechanism to remove caps to be difficult. We needed a new design for the cap that allowed for easy bending and durability.

====Testing====

We made caps based on the original design and grinded them down to achieve thicknesses that would allow for easy bending. This was accomplished with the use of a circular grinder in the lab.


====New Design====

Our new design is a cap that tapers from the edges inward. This allows for the cap to maintain strength over time and bend easily for removal from the tubes.
